The Appointments

At some point, I stopped keeping track. I don’t know why I just couldn’t stand to see it all in writing anymore. Every month now goes something like this, “do we have chemo this week?”, “no, I feel like we just had it.”, “are you going to check your portal?”, “maybe tomorrow”. Every three or four months, I still have scans and an echo (due to the Herceptin), and our conversations are similar but for a very different reason. We can’t stand the stress of knowing exactly when the scans are until it gets as close as possible. The increased stress and lack of sleep is something we like to hold off as long as possible.
